The Habbo Masked Singer! Coming Soon To a Screen Near You

Carl Jordyn is a long-time established Habbo TV show host, most known for his classic "Habbo Big Brother" which is one of the longest running Habbo TV shows to date. Now he is back with a new project, "The Habbo Masked Singer"

When we invited him into the Zoom call for our scheduled interview, Mr. Jordyn appeared with a big smile and warm chuckle, excited to tell us all about his new project.

B: Hello Mr. Jordyn! Pleasure to be seated with one of Habbo's well-established TV producers, as they are rare gems the industry values dearly. As you know, we have a few questions regarding The Habbo Masked Singer, which is being produced by you! So let's begin.

C: Pleasure to be sat with you too!

B: Firstly, how does it feel to be back in the TV business producing and directing your own projects? We know it is something you hold dear to you and have developed your career around for over 7 years!

C: It honestly feels amazing to be still here producing and creating fantastic television and content for over seven years now, time flies! It is defiantly not as easy as it looks, especially when you're producing your

shows as well as hosting them. I have always had such a passion for it and knew I would be most happiest doing it which is why I think I've kept at it for so many years now.

B: The Habbo Masked singer is a fresh project coming from your production team! Big Brother seems like a totally different landscape than this venture. What can we expect to see in a show like this?

C: Big Brother has it's own special format which has worked so well for a number of years but with fresh ideas like The Masked Singer it's just going to be a show that's never been done or seen on Habbo before. Not only is it a singing competition where one celebrity will go home every week, it is done whilst they are hiding their identities and trying to outsmart the other contestants.

It will be so interesting for everyone across the Habbo industry platform to watch as it will be a competition/gameshow rolled into one. Also, what is refreshing about the show is that as the identity's are hidden we won't have people being favored over others because of the difference in status which will be fantastic viewing.

B: How exactly will identities remain hidden in this game?

C: There will be 8 masked celebrity contestants each in disguised costumes, some costumes may be a hint as to who the person underneath the mask is, some are random and are random to make them harder to guess. Every episode each celebrity will have a 30-45 second clue package themed around the masked character they are playing as, in this package they will drop hints and clues as to who they are without giving too much away! It's then the panel's and the viewers who guess who they think is behind the mask! Also, they will all perform and be on disguised accounts where they cannot speak unless they are on the stage performing or are asked to give clues to our panel and the viewers watching. So there is a lot of secrecy involved.

B: A lot of TV shows are currently being produced at the moment. From Keri's Head Hunty to Drooseph's "The Elimination." How will The Masked Singer dominate the competition in terms of audience? And how will they be able to stream the show?

C: Habbo Masked Singer is original in it's own way as the episodes will air weekly and will be around 20-30 minutes long and that isn't too common with shows in the industry. We don't want to compete with the other shows as we believe they are completely different to our entire format and they will all stand out for various reasons. As for streaming the show, we will hopefully have it available on YouTube or Vimeo with episodes weekly. B: In terms of casting, when will that be open and what components of a contestant are you looking for when scouting?

C: We will be scouting and looking for celebrities that are up for the challenge and are good at keeping there identity a secret as well as being a brilliant performer!! We want a variety of backgrounds for the cast, we want some names that may be hard to guess too, even some legends from way back in the day!

B: Is there a grand prize? What kind of visibility can an artist receive from a show like this?

C: In terms of the prize, nothing is decided that far ahead yet but we are looking at giving away many diamonds as it stands. We hope the show gives some visibility to the people who need a little bit of a boost or people who want to play a new character basically. We want the show to give people that little boost in the right direction, and even onto bigger things. For example if we cast a TV personality hopefully this show makes them want to become a custom artist in the future? Who knows?

B: Finally, when can we expect the show to begin? The Promotional ad has been released on social medias and people are genuinely excited for it's premiere!

C: The show will hopefully be kicking off within the next month, no official date has been announced just yet... I have been on set filming some bits for the show already and it's so interesting!
