Republic Records Hosts The 2018 VMAs

Habbo's most prestigous label, Republic Records, announced they are hosting the 2018 Video Music Awards. The event will be held at HabPop Hotel on March 11th, officially kicking off the Spring Quarter in the industry. Billboard will be there providing live coverage.

Few details have been provided but, the verified twitter account of Republic has confirmed that rap icon, Bre Chandler will be hosting this year's event. "You already know when I host, issa party! #GetBrepared." the diamond-selling artist tweeted. The industry seems to be very satisfied with Republic's host and crowds will surely be lined up at the arena's entrance to witness what we believe will be a phenomenal show.

Artists everywhere rushed to Republic's website to nominate their work as the VMA submission process was revealed. According to the rules, "...multiple submissions for a video does not give it any more of a chance to be nominated." which then continues, "...quality

outweights popularity." The eligibility period goes back to August 27, 2016 and artists have a deadline to March 4, 2018 to release a video in order to qualify for a nomination. For performers, Republic has chosen to take a different route on it's process. In order to be a possibility for performing on the big stage, artists are required to build their own custom sets and submit them to the Republic team.

"If you want to perform at the show, produce your sets in the official rehearsal sound stage. We will be confirming performers through this method," Republic tweeted. Building custom sets require talent so it's expected that each performance will be brilliant and unique in it's own way.

The anticipation of this event is through the roof as Eva Croft is it's producer. Being the CEO of the new generation's top label and owner of the VMA venue, Eva is known for providing quality events and leaving the audience "shook." We can expect that this year's event will hold the Republic name to it's standard.
