Rainbow Reinvention: Rapper Shazi Hits the Good Morning America Stage

This week saw the next chapter begin for rap artist Shazi (formerly known as Shazique) who released his lead single ‘Reading Rainbow’ from his upcoming fourth album. It was only a matter of time before Shazi had to pay tribute to his status as an industry LGBT icon.

Dressed in a colourful one piece, with heart shaped lollipop in hand, Shazi delivers a rainbow popping cover for what could be one of his biggest tracks to date. When asked what Reading Rainbow is about, Shazi explained that it is about ‘...me finding myself after being labelled so many times by what people felt I should be’.

This track is definitely what the industry needed right now, especially with the lack of recent voice-custom music. It’s a song of clever written lyrics with a beat to get you moving. A perfect release during LGBT History Month. To celebrate the release of this LGBT anthem, Shazi took to the Good Morning America stage performing his new single. Gracing the stage in dungarees complete with a gold mic piece, Shazi had the crowd in the palm of his hand, enjoying every moment of this debut performance.

This track definitely brings the colour and good vibes to HabPop Hotel, a huge congratulations on this release. Shazi topped off a successful comeback release by also revealing the artwork and title of another upcoming track ‘Whatchu Want’ which we cannot wait to hear.

It is also rumoured that Shazi has a collaboration with fellow ‘Rainbow Minded’ pop star, Rhys, due to release this month. This promises to be a very bright era for Shazi.
